The power of Paper
Paper has its own voice. We touch and feel it everyday of the week but we never stop to really think about it in any depth. It is part of our lives in a subtle way as currency, books, newspapers, menus, billboards, inside the cockpit of an aircraft, receipts in the supermarket, and in best sellers. Albert Einstein wrote the theory of relativity on paper. All the great composers and inventors jotted down their initial ideas on paper as they created something that the world would never forget. We have pieces of history because of paper.
The possibilities relating to paper are endless. It has been a very important means of communication over the centuries and where would we be without the Bible, the Book of Kells and many other documents that have stood the test of time. I will write more about paper in other blogs. I have a real passion for this particular subject. I really just wanted to share the Paperworld exhibition which is held in Frankfurt next year and the fantastic Blog that has been created for this spectacular event.
